1. Determine the required slip torque according to the load conditions or the design strength of the machine. If the load condition of the machine is unknown, please set the required slip torque of the torque limiter to 1.5~2 times the torque produced by the motor on the shaft where the torque limiter is installed.

2. Choose a torque limiter with sufficient torque range and aperture range.

3. Determine the appropriate bushing length according to the thickness of the center member to be inserted between the friction surfaces.Always choose the largest bushing that does not exceed the width of the center member, which is displayed as "Maximum" in the dimension table.

1. The center piece should be processed on its friction surface to obtain the rated torque, and it should be flat, parallel, square hole, rust-free, non-oxidized, and non-greasy.The recommended surface finish is Ra 1.6.If the center member does not meet these specifications, the sliding torque will be unstable.

2. The hole diameter of the center piece to be processed is shown in the table below. In addition, minutes. This table lists the number of sprocket teeth to be used and the length of the bushing to be selected.

Torque setting

• The torque setting of the torque limiter is achieved by tightening or loosening the adjusting bolt and/or adjusting nut. The torque adjustment of TL50~TL89 provides adjusting nut, and the torque adjustment of TL127~TL178 provides adjusting bolt.

• After installing the torque limiter on the shaft, the torque setting can be performed. The process is:

• For TL50 to TL89,

First, tighten the adjusting nut by hand to make the disc spring fit with the plate. Then use a wrench to temporarily tighten the nut about 60 degrees.

Rotation angle (degrees)

• For TL127 to TL178,

First, rotate the nut that secures the disc spring to the plate, and then tighten each adjustment bolt about 60 degrees. Then, if the torque limiter slips under normal load conditions, gradually tighten the nuts (TL50~TL89) or bolts (TL127~TL178) until

The torque limiter stops slipping.Always tighten (or loosen) the bolts equally.Try this adjustment several times to find the correct torque setting for the machine. For your guidance, the figure below shows the relationship between the effective rotation angle and the preset torque.

In order to accurately set the torque, it is recommended to run in a torque limiter, such as 500~50rpm at 60 rpm, and adjust the nut or bolt to rotate at an angle of 45 degrees.
